Jonathan Silver is so superhumanly fit that his abs even show through his suit and coat in panel six! Also, I love how he dodges with minimum effort (and with eyes closed to boot) Aura’s flashy attacks (that must be awfully effective nonetheless, provided she’s up against someone else).
And yeah, Aura’s “Stop dancing around me” line reminds me of that aikido teacher who revealed his secret for fighting numerous opponents: encircle them. I’m not sure I can convey how he did it with mere words, but the notion was that he moved around the group of his assailants, remaining outside the group and, when he threw one, making sure they landed in the direction of the group (preferably into one who was charging towards him).
Speaking of aikido, it bears noting that Jonathan Silver’s close dodging is what we were taught to do. (And in my case, hardly ever achieved.)
Well, I don’t care if they’re a little villain coded, I like ’em.
