In the mix
just a wee heads up folks, was involved in an accident recently, which may impede my ability to get the comic done – fingers crossed it doensn’t, but we’ll see how it goes, It’s mostly just pain rather’n any actual breaks or bleeds so here’s hopin’ for a quick recovery

Oh man! That sucks. Here’s hoping you heal fast…comic can wait.
First things first, take the time you need to heal. I’ve known people who learned the hard way that their pain wasn’t “just pain”, but a signal that something is wrong in one’s body or mind (or soul, for those who believe in such things). So be careful with yourself, please. I’m not sure there’s a point being an iron man on doing a webcomic. We’ll be here if you need time.
Congratulations, you’ve finally noticed that he’s had you outclassed the entire time, he was just too humble to throw it in your face.
Take care of yourself first – you owe us nothing. Whiplash and other “soft tissue” injuries can take time to show but become quite debilitating if not dealt with (or even if it IS dealt with sometimes…).
Be very careful yourself for a bit, and make sure you get whatever scans are appropriate for any areas with pain, with a special emphasis on the spine. Limb injuries are generally not nearly as big a deal as any kind of spinal stuff. I’d take a shattered limb over even moderate whiplash, dead serious – I’ve seen what that does to be people over the long term.
What everybody else said.
Now that we know it, you can take as much time as you like (and better a week extra, to be sure) without the readership getting worried 🙂
The last panel tells a little story on its own and made me realize that Quarterback is still working/trying hard to make himself known. That would explain his behaviour and the flamboyance(?) he showed while internally realizing that their treatment of Snowflake was unfair. Things will come together, at least I hope so.
I just noticed — Silverback calmed down pretty fast between the third and fourth panels (though that’s perfectly understandable since Majesty calls on him), and doesn’t react to Majesty calling Sentry 7 his “friends”. I guess he has more on his mind than the enmity with them, and good on him.
And yeah, Quarterback is just beginning to realize how vastly he’s outgunned by Silverback. The guy fought Majesty… and Dragonshard. In the same day. Not to mention Egregore. And right after that, he was willing to take on the whole ‘Guard.
If Majesty is leaving Magnifica and Cry (and possibly Bobcat, since he’s usually paired with the former?) to fight with the rookies, as he implies in the fifth panel, he sure isn’t leaving them entirely to their own devices. It does seem like Magnifica could take the whole assault on her own, but things may not be that simple.
