workin’ on the this last wee batch of pages, been playin’ with lighting since they’re meant to be in the collapsing tunnel system, i quite like it – I’m always a little apprehensive about makin’ changes to the artstyle mid story, as if it’s gunna break the narrative flow or somethin? but the goal will always be have SB and his universe look as good as I can manage – when writing Kenny, something about always spurs me into him making the worst possible choice in a situation…and gettin’ mouthy with Lady Orchid certainly fits that so I guess I’m doin’ well? hahah
Regarding the lighting, I’d say it’s fine. The difficulty films have with low-light scenes — too dark and one can’t see anything, too light and one wonders how anybody can even sleep in that room — isn’t as tough on comics, where you can even show your characters talking in the dark and the speech bubbles pretty much indicate who is where and saying what. So yeah, doing fine here.
Also: ah, so “Mother” wasn’t just a honorific title? I’ll have to go back and look. Or was it a title, but one to be used only within a certain secret circle?
Interesting how Amy seems to have some measure of mercy again (she didn’t kill Anne earlier either). Maybe it’s for the greater good of the cause.
An on that last panel, is Kenny having second thoughts? Yeah right, like he had thoughts to begin with…
