“Mother Mantis”! Ominous indeed. Fabulous and frightening costume design, too. And I love her “Darlings” address. Offhand and nice, like she’s not a mass-murderous totally evil terrorist villain.
(Oh, and I forgot to mention that Lady Orchid was talking about “unnatural things” earlier, so the notion that they’re “protecting” the common people against superbeing seems to be more than just PR. We’ll see about that.)
The question remains: can Mother Mantis activate the Venerator? Does she need a little more time for it to get to its ultimate power? (If it’s already at full power, then it’s very likely Our Heroes are toast. Which would be interesting: yes, the main character is dead, but there happens to be more story to tell… A lot could be about Anne’s search for her son.)
