Cogniostro the Thinker? Assume that’s a play on everyone’s favorite 18th century fraud and con man Joe Balsamo (alias Count Alessandro di Cagliostro) mashed up with “cognition” (hence the “thinker” title. That’s cute. Feels very Golden Age indeed.
You can tell the Venerator has some serious mojo. It’s so powerful it’s turned the panel gutters into Kirby crackle. 🙂
Wow, for something that you had to be there to understand, Majesty does a great job of conveying the scale of the threat.
I assume next he’ll explain how they eventually came around to defeat it.
Of course, each time I see in a story an individual wielding a weapon that seems much more powerful than themself, I’m reminded of that quote from Foundation: “An atom-blaster is a good weapon, but it can point both ways.”
Also, the composition is great. I really like the (ominous?) symmetry between Majesty and the Venerator, and the scene of devastation in the lower half sure illustrates the point that the stakes have been raised much higher — yet again.

I thought the same about that name. Cagliostro’s been used a lot in various stories, and it’s nice to see this variation.
And indeed, good eye about the Kirby dots.

Did the Royal Guard get more of a series than what is on Webtoons?
