I’d be curious about what he wanted, to, but a page ago he went about “the futility” and “give you a sporting chance” – “give”, so he most likely wouldn’t offer to forfeit the fight.
In a twisted sense, I think Blackbird was trying to help them. I think he knows something’s been planned for them, something underhanded, and some speck of decency compelled him to come and try to warn them off. His wording seems to imply he was trying to “do the right thing”. Of course, he IS an arrogant prick, so he couldn’t just admit why he was doing it or what exactly was going to happen. I would guess cheating in some way. Or could be preying on a psychological weakness of some kind. Either Snowfall’s or someone else’s.
The way I see it, an expensive suit whose owner is afraid of getting beer on is a major strategic mistake on a hand-to-hand fighter. Blood stains much more than beer.
And I’m curious about his initial intent. I expect we’ll know more about it when the big event comes…
Oh, and Roughhouse’s amused/embarrassed expression in the last panel is great. As is “He’s growing on me”.
I am so curious what blackbirds intent was, he acted like such a jerk so i dont know why he expected any different though lol
I laughed, I cried, I loved the avian insults.
