The more I read about the Snowfall, the more I like her. (Same goes for the Royal Guard, actually.) As Granny Smith said, she’s got integrity. And it was a harsh choice she was facing, because there is tremendous risk either way — going to the IU means she risks harming people on a daily basis, but going back to jail means she risks Cailleach’s power growing until she takes over and ice storms her way out of the cell.
Also, nice insertion of Cailleach’s face near her ear in the seventh panel. Showing her as the monster she is in human terms.
Last, interesting that they’re shaking left hands in the last panel. A Scottish custom? Or is it a reflection in a mirror?
Oh, and in the fifth and seventh panels (I’m counting the picture where she looks up from within her cell as the second panel), Snowfall calls the entity “Callie”; I’d have expected “Caillie” with an “i” after the “a”. Just in case she’s not using cuter and cuter names to infuriate the monstrous überpowerful spirit.
Frame 4, should be spelled ‘harness’. I like this character; she’s got integrity.
good catch! fixed it now!
