I find it nice to see someone a big as Silverback sitting on a char that is obviously not made for such big guys. Puts things into perspective.
(But at one point in the future of this comic I’d like to know how him gaining/losing that body mass works when he powers up/down.)
I love seeing the tiny cup in Silverback’s huge hand as he sips his tea. Very nice.
My take on the spittake was that it was prompted by the chair’s legs breaking, but it might be the other way around. I’m not sure “I have something inside me” is really shocking in context. (I mean, after seeing himself, Warhead and Egregore, “weird” has to be relativized, right?)
(Oh, and I just understood that the brown cloud around Silverback’s hand isn’t his spit but the tea from the shattered cup. Go me.)
And as always, Silverback’s real superpower is his empathy and heart. Strength, durability and possibly speed are only second in impressiveness.
Note that she appears to be reflexively freezing the tea from the actual spit-take before it reaches her as well. Snow doesn’t stain if you brush it off before it melts. 🙂
Her own spill as the table moves is a bit more worrisome for the wardrobe, but maybe it just misses her legs.
I don’t know which is funnier, the “Phrasing please!” spit-take or the how teeny the teacup looks in Silverback’s big old hand there.
How about Silverback’s chair’s legs bending and then breaking?

Sorry. Reloading the page didn’t show my 2nd comment at first 🙁
There’s usually a delay. Best to come back the next day.
