I still want to respect Oberon — if nothing else, the fact that the people in the lab sound surprised seems to indicate that his mood swings haven’t happened in a while. And I guess his anger is motivated by the fact that he’s deeply suspicious about Yeoman (rightly, probably through experience and instinct more than hard facts) but can’t see a way out of his situation without the man(?)’s help.
Then again, maybe he could swallow his pride and appeal to the Guard? Arguably, that would go against his agency’s raison d’ĂȘtre as an independent one, but how is “puppet of a monster” any better?
