I LOVE Cry here. “Did you develop ice powers while I wasn’t looking?” “But also, lighten up, will you?” And I love how she makes a point for Majesty.
The first two volumes left open the notion that he might a Superman caricature — all awesome powers and no compassion, but the Royal Guard series on Webtoon (that, again, I highly recommend) and Cry’s last line here indicate that he’s close to the original in the obvious ways (super strength, super speed, super flight, super powers all around) and to the important one too (super heart).
I like it a lot that it gets said out in the open that Majesty is one of the reasons Silverback has made the Invincible University. Thinking back on it, that seems to be the only reason why he’d be here to welcome Marc in the first place. Unless he was being a real big huge humongous jerk about telling Marc, “I’m watching you, so behave”. Which his neutral-verging-on-stern expression in the previous page might have led Marc to think, aside from what he just said.
And of course, Marc’s goodwill still shines out. Working both ways, this time, but still.
