Figured it would’ve been an offer to go easy on them or something like that. And it might’ve worked if Blackbird didn’t start off insulting them and acting all superior. If they were serious about the offer though they should’ve sent Conjurer, as it also seemed to have been her idea, she seems to be the only one of them with a clear head on her shoulders and the only likeable one of the bunch.
Really, the only choice that would have been worse than sending Blackbird would have been sending Quarterback. Blackbird’s just an overdone accent and unflappable butler away from being a bad ‘nose in the air noble’ stereotype in a British sitcom.
Quarterback’s the Platonic Ideal of the Jerk Jock, and Princess Paragon’s a Mean Girls archetype.
Trackstar, Dagon, and Migrant haven’t exhibited any distinguishable personality yet, so it’s hard to say if they’re as bad as their teammates. Although since Conjurer has been the only one in the team not to choose violence as Option 1, it’s probable they have similar negative character traits.
Yeah, well, as I’m fond of saying sometimes, “Nope. You’ll *try* to destroy them, and you’ll fail miserably.”
Also, Conjurer looks real sad in that last panel. I wonder why she didn’t carry the message herself. Did Blackbird insist he should be the one to do it? Is Conjurer ill at ease in a bar?
Oh, and Trackstar’s first lines are something nasty. Really, guys, what good is that team? (I mean it. People who hate each others’ guts don’t work well together.)
Last, I have to admit that Blackbird really looks impressive in that last panel. (And so does Trackstar, though more low-key.) Is that why they dislike Conjurer? Because she looks less badass?
hmm the sentry seven dont seem to like eachother very much
“Yeah, I’ve been a jerk to you, but don’t take it personally. We’re all jerks with everyone, even our teammates.”
(beat)
“Well, except Conjurer. But it’s like, y’know, every good team needs someone to cook the meals and wash the dishes.”

Offer of mercy he started with insulting them and then just wound them up almost deliderately…
Mercy on Sentry 7’s terms is a bit like the school bully saying it was your fault and say sorry and we won’t pick on you today…
