Y’know, it’s nice to see that like twenty years after arcade places have pretty much gone out, kids can still enjoy themselves with a slot machine.
Snowfall’s comment that they’ve taken classes and could schedule others if Silverback’s “down for another team-up” leads me to think Hazard Space counts as classroom time. I mean, in a way it is, but it also sounds like a great big game. Which may account for some of the Sentry 7 attitude that it’s all fun and games, come to think of it. (It’s consistent with Quarterback’s phrasing that Silverback, one day, “might be good enough to compete at our level”. The “compete” struck me as a bit strange, at the time.
Also, I may be wrong (never been good at reading that kind of signals) but it seems to me that Snowfall’s hand gesture to her hair in the last panel suggests attraction. I like her a lot and Silverback could do much worse than her (except maybe she’s somewhat possessed by a frightfully powerful primeval ice goddess), but among the many things I love with this story, it’s how grounded in all-day life Marc is, which is part of his strength not unlike how Majesty has remarked in the previous page.
So if he is going to have a girl (or boy)friend (and that will likely happen at some point), I’d prefer a regular person. (But then, I’m not writing the story, so take it wherever you want. I’ll be here.)
