Also, I’m not sure how fast you can travel on the Earth’s surface before angular momentum would overcome gravity and fling you into space, but it’s probably slower than you’d be going if you needed to travel 200,000 miles to brake to a halt. There’s been research done into building mass drivers to launch stuff into orbit using that principle – shooting things more or less sideways instead of straight up can theoretically put a payload into space if you put enough energy into it. Good thing we’re running on comic book science here.
The Pantheon is extremely cool. Thrilled to be seeing them work, here. At this point I am very much hoping they don’t end up becoming antagonists no matter how much they look like they are. I love ’em.
