“I just made the biggest mistake of my life, and Backdraft was going to pay for it.” And Cailleach set up a crowdfunding.
Anybody else feels that her smile in the second panel is awfully chilling?
Back to serious, it’s now clear that Sentry 7 were very lucky that she held back earlier. (Possibly because Silverback would have been iced along with them, but that makes him very lucky too.)
I forgot that I meant to comment on the word “madness” that Snowfall hesitantly uses about Cailleach. The last panel leaves no doubt that from a human point of view, she is quite mad. But I’d say that it’s more that her mindset is alien to humanity.
A mad person can’t be reasoned with unless you go into their own logic (should they even have one), that is wrong in at least one way about reality. Cailleach might not be reasoned with easier, but she can enforce her own view of reality. (Still extremely dangerous and shouldn’t be left free to wander around.)
Panel 3 absolutely confirms civilians were in that blast zone, so definitely not just excessive property damage here along with the villain.
I don’t think hero insurance is going to cover that one…
KA-ME-HA-ME-HAAAAAA!!

Panel 3 – that’s a really good “I dun screwed up” face.
