So Warhead’s energy can carry at least some part of his consciousness when “bottled” in a battery. Interesting.
And if you thought watching some idiot stumble into traffic while distracted by their phone was bad, just look what roaming hologram display tech does to situational awareness. 🙂
To be fair, they have a strong emotional attachment to the information they are seeing. It doesn’t help being aware of one’s surroundings, particularly when one doesn’t expect activity.
But yeah, “interesting”. Actually, this is potentially devastating. If S.I.D.H.E lose control of the hardball armors, there’s a strong risk that they’ll lose any governmental support they could have scraped so far. What comes next is anybody’s guess, but it might turn Oberon into a very dangerous villain. (I can see the turning point. “Vic? Stop taking your pills.”)
Theory: Marc was dying of something, hence his father taking him to the Island. The scans have picked up on exactly that…either that or Project Prime is slowly overtaking him and will actually leave him stuck permanently ‘on’ after some time.
Meanwhile…Warhead is an energy being. Vic is making a serious mistake leaving the Hardballs hooked up to that power feed.
Interesting theory. I’m less fond of the second one, because I don’t think Vic and Noori would react that strongly. It’s not like Silverback is hideously deformed with his powers on (like the Thing from Fantastic Four).
This prompts another theory: Silverback’s powers are growing continuously… but taking a toll on his body, either health-wise (his bones may not be able to support his muscles any more, for instance) or socially (his full-strength form may be more and more monstrous).
Two questions. (Well, three, but the first one determines which one of the others will be asked next.) First, since the energy in the battery here seems to have a degree of awareness, and assuming it’s Warhead’s awareness, is it fully his or does it have a measure of independance? If the latter, could the batteries develop separate identities? If the former, does Warhead now know what Vic and Noori have been discussing, or is the matter too specific for him to understand with so few elements?
It seemed like he was pretty distracted with getting a feel for the suit he’s been embodied in, and their conversation was a bit cryptic. But sure, it’s possible he was paying enough attention to their dialog that he can at least figure something’s going wrong with the guy who kicked his butt.
Question also remains of exactly how his consciousness is functioning. Does everything his energy is powering act as a potential vantage point (in which case he might be able to “see” wherever base security cams can) or is the battery-energy cut off from the rest of him and a separate awareness until somehow reunited (or just able to talk to the original)? Warhead Prime may not know what the suit knows – yet.
