    To quote Majesty from back on July 3rd, “You’ll hear the thunder.”

    Kind of late to their meeting. What were these totally-not-actually-antiheroes called again? The Pantheon?

    A sound like Thunder split the sky – and time stands still … Imagine Dragons had appeared.

    “Lighting, and the thunder. Lighting, and the thunder; thunder.”

      You make me think of two songs regarding Quarterback. “Top of the World”… and “Believer”. (For those who aren’t particularly fans of Imagine Dragons, look up the lyrics for the latter, it’ll be clearer.)

    So . . . QB is a villain in training? What a jerk!

    @sbcomic:

    Hey, I’ve just discovered this comic. Read all the way through from the start, and I’m liking it quite a bit! Already recommended it to a couple of friends, in fact.

    Just a thought here… is the narrative in the last panel mixing tenses? It starts with “things WERE getting” but at the end has “time STANDS still.” Wasn’t sure if that was intentional or not, since it still works as a current narrator referring to a past situation. It just threw me off a bit and had me wondering, especially since “a sound… split the sky” could support either past or present tense. (If it was all meant to read that way, just ignore this; I wind up mixing tenses far too often when I write, and I could easily just be mixing this up too.)

    Anyway, please keep up the great work! Looking forward to seeing what sorts of classes Silverback will have to deal with–presuming this fight hasn’t screwed that up for him.

    I honestly have no idea what is going to happen next since that thunderclap has the potential to dramatically alter the situation, but even without it I’d say things aren’t looking good for Sentry 7. Even assuming Conjurer comes out of her reasonable stance and strikes along with her teammates, there are 14 super-people who appear to be witnessing the events in the first two panels, with quite possibly more offscreen.

    Since at least some of them appear to be moved by Silverback’s impassioned speech, it means a sizable fraction of the onlookers will side with Silverback and Snowfall. I’m not sure any of them would side with Sentry 7 because of the uncertainty, so it’s quite possible the 7 are going to be outnumbered. Not to mention Silverback made short work of Quarterback two pages ago.

    One thing is for certain, Sentry 7 have a reputation (from Ironcore’s question in panel 2 — yes, still making up more or less inspired tertiary character names) and whoever set it up isn’t going to be happy with Silverback. Is there something rotten in the Invincible University ? (There most certainly is, as in any large enough organization, but is it advanced enough to be a threat?) … And does it have anything to do with our new corporate friend who’s currently trying to get his claws into S.I.D.H.E?
