Since Amy called Ann right before she opened the door, it makes sense that there is some kind of surveillance (which is the sensible thing to do really if you have a secret lair under a false front: you want to be able to know who is upstairs at all times, if only to avoid a surprise attack when you come up the stairs). Indeed, there seems to be a camera’s lens in panel 1.
That being said, I feel she cut Ann off a bit quickly. Either she dismisses her as a nobody who’s just a little bit useful or she’s in a tense situation down there…
Also, I guess Ann’s next days will be more eventful because I can’t imagine Amy hiring her just to look nice. (She does look nice, but that’s not the point of hiring her.)
… And the cliffhanger about Silverback and Snowfall intensifies! Will Marc get expelled on his very first day of class? (And will the Brat Leaguers end up the worse for wear?)
