Aaahhhh, The Talk. I like that Cry feels it’s going to take time to discuss the subject, because yeah, it’s a complex one. I for one feel that Magnifica and Bobcat could do with someone whose powers would be centered on communication, so they wouldn’t have to kill every creature that makes it through a portal. Granted, so far pretty much the only one we’ve seen whose powers were mental more than physical were Vincent — assuming his condition is akin to a superpower — and Egregore, so maybe finding someone willing to do the job wouldn’t be so easy.
(Also, mental powers are easier to hide than physical ones, so maybe people who have them simply don’t go into superheroics, or in a subtle way; either way, they may well go under the various agencies’ radar.)
Not only do I love Silverback and Cry as characters, their interaction is great as well. Very well done, sir! (Oh, and it’s nice how Cry’s shoulder studs and nails gleam.)
To kill or not is a pretty tricky thing. I myself tend to be against the death penalty, but… some people don’t want to change and even in the line of duty, if you kill for self defense… It’s a very hard topic.

The idea of a communications-based hero/character to back up Maggie and Bob is great! i may have to give that a swing as the story unfolds!
